Shows like MobLand: 7 picks for afterwards

follows the Harrigans, a crime family in London, and Harry Da Souza, the man who makes their problems go away. Tom Hardy plays him, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren the married couple at the head of the family. The series was created by Ronan Bennett, and Guy Ritchie is an executive producer who directed the first episodes. The first season came out in 2025, the second started in September 2026. If you want more of this: here are seven series, each with what connects it to MobLand and what it does differently.

Peaky Blinders

2013, 6 seasons.

The connection: a crime family on the way up, and Tom Hardy, who plays the London gang boss Alfie Solomons from the second season on. The difference: Birmingham after the First World War instead of present-day London, and at the centre is not the family's fixer but its head: Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy. In 2026 a film, , continued the story.

The Gentlemen

2024, 2 seasons.

The connection: Guy Ritchie, English aristocracy meeting gangsters, and plenty of dry humour. The difference: the hero is no professional but an army officer who inherits a dukedom from his father and only then discovers that a huge cannabis farm is running beneath the estate. Theo James plays him, Kaya Scodelario the woman who runs the business. Lighter and more playful than MobLand. The series is set in the same world as Ritchie's film of the same name, but you do not need to know it.

Gangs of London

2020, 3 seasons.

The connection: London, powerful families and the question of who takes charge after a power vacuum. The difference: much harder and more action-driven. The series opens with the murder of the head of the city's most powerful crime family, and his son wants to know who is behind it, whatever the cost. Gareth Evans, known for the action film The Raid, co-created the series, and the fights are long and brutal to match. Not for the squeamish. A fourth season is in the works.

Ray Donovan

2013, 7 seasons.

The connection: a man who makes other people's problems disappear, and a family that gives him more trouble than any opponent. MobLand was even first announced during development as a spin-off of Ray Donovan. The difference: Los Angeles instead of London, and Ray works for the rich and famous rather than for a crime family. Liev Schreiber plays him, Jon Voight his father, who gets out of prison at the start. A 2022 film wrapped up the story.

Gomorrah

2014, 5 seasons.

The connection: a family clan, a fight over succession and loyalty that can flip at any moment. The difference: Gomorrah is Italian, set in the housing estates on the edge of Naples, and shows the Camorra without any glamour. It is based on Roberto Saviano's book. If you can, watch it in the original with subtitles; the Neapolitan dialect adds a lot to the atmosphere. Since 2026 there is also a prequel, .
