In this musical comedy, optimistic high school teacher Will Schuester tries to refuel his own passion while reinventing the high school's glee club and challenging a group of outcasts to realize their star potential as they strive to outshine their singing competition while navigating the cruel halls of McKinley High.
Glee mixes high school comedy with musical numbers that burst out of everyday life, set to chart hits and Broadway standards. The tone jumps quickly between over the top humor, teen drama and serious moments about bullying and finding yourself. It lives on its performances and on characters who are loud, vulnerable and often exaggerated.
Good for you if you like music, high school drama and a dose of sentimentality all at once.
