Legless Southern inventor Dr. Arliss Loveless plans to rekindle the Civil War by assassinating President Ulysses S. Grant. Only two men can stop him: gunfighter James West and master-of-disguise and inventor Artemus Gordon. The two must team up to thwart Loveless' plans.
Wild Wild West is a loud, flashy blend of western, spy caper and steampunk gadgetry. It runs on absurd machines, disguises and the banter of two mismatched partners, and the tone stays silly and over the top. Pace and effects clearly come before character depth.
Good for you if you want a garish genre mix with buddy humor, gadgets and blockbuster spectacle and do not care about realism.
