Stan and Ollie join the French Foreign Legion after Ollie's sweetheart rejects him.
Beau Hunks is a Laurel and Hardy comedy that sends up French Foreign Legion adventures and fills the desert with their usual slapstick. The humor comes from the pairing: Ollie's wounded dignity against Stan's trusting slowness. The pace is unhurried, gags are played out in full, and that is where they land.
Good for you if you enjoy classic early sound era slapstick and like watching two friends steer every undertaking straight into trouble.
